The New Albion Radio Hour Presents: Astonishing Tales of the Highly Improbable (full name) is a podcast series created by Paul Shapera. It was first released on September 16, 2018. There are two stories published: Michael& the Monster and Jill& the Ghost.
The releases are otherwise identical.Although the cover artwork has a space in the word 'Slenderman', other album promotional materials and metadata do not have a space, and so that is the version represented here.Download includes four PDFs: One contains the lyrics, another contains a synopsis of the story, and the remaining two are 'Missives' which are designed to seem like they are documents which exist within the fictional universe of the album story.
SummaryA book of fantastical short stories centering around the city of New Albion during its steampunk, dieselpunk and atompunk periods. Full of odd characters, faeries, a sentient room, a popular drug that is the byproduct of an underground generator, talking mice, singing cockroaches, and rogue narratives gone astray.Based on the popular New Albion pulp operas which can be found here: these stories flush out the larger details of the city and some of its more interesting denizens.
